Who is this for?
Tape-ins are perfect for clients with fine to medium density hair who want to add significant volume and/or length with a semi-permanent solution. The application is gentle, using no heat or tools, making it suitable for most hair types. -
How much hair is needed?
For volume, recommend 1-2 packs (20-40 pieces). For a full-length transformation, recommend 3-5 packs (60-100 pieces).
Client Aftercare & Maintenance Instructions
- First 48 Hours: Advise clients to avoid washing hair or excessive sweating to allow the bonds to fully cure.
- Washing: Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Avoid applying conditioner or oily products directly on the tape bonds, as this can cause slipping.
- Brushing: Brush gently from ends to roots with an extension-safe brush, holding the roots to prevent tension.
- Styling: Heat styling is acceptable, but avoid direct heat on the tape tabs.
- Re-application: Schedule a move-up appointment every 4-8 weeks, depending on the client’s natural hair growth.

Step 1 (Prep): Ensure the client’s hair is clarified, clean, and completely dry. Do not use conditioner near the root area.

Step 2 (Section): Create a clean, horizontal section, about 1/4 inch from the scalp.

Step 3 (Apply): Peel the backing from one weft and apply it underneath the sectioned slice of natural hair. Press firmly.
